Terms of Service
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Rootr ("Rootr", "the Service"), a knowledge-collaboration solution operated by Inspirio ("Inspirio", "we", "us", "our") at rootr.io and related subdomains. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to both you and the organization.
1. The Service
Rootr provides document collaboration, a knowledge graph (ontology) built from your content, a structured log/data store with relation tracking (lineage), and an AI-assisted research and root-cause-analysis (RCA) assistant. The Service is offered in Free, Team, Business, and Platform (usage-based) plans, as described at rootr.io and in your account's billing settings.
2. Accounts and Workspaces
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, including any multi-factor authentication codes. A workspace is the shared environment in which you and your teammates create and collaborate on content. Workspace administrators may invite, manage, and remove members, and are responsible for their workspace's compliance with these Terms.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights of any third party;
- Upload or process content you do not have the right to share, or that contains malware or harmful code;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or underlying infrastructure;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without our prior written consent;
- Use the Service to build a competing product; or
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
4. Subscriptions, Fees, and Auto-Renewal
Paid plans (Team, Business, and usage-based Platform) are billed on a recurring basis (monthly, unless otherwise stated) per seat or per usage, at the rates shown at checkout. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Usage-based Platform charges are billed in arrears based on metered consumption. Prices are shown in USD or KRW as applicable and may include or exclude tax depending on your billing address; applicable taxes are added at checkout where required.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as our authorized reseller and the Merchant of Record for all purchases made through Rootr. This means Paddle is the seller of record, handles payment collection, tax calculation and remittance, and invoicing for your subscription, and Paddle's own terms of use and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction in addition to these Terms. You may be billed by, and your payment card statement may reference, Paddle rather than Inspirio or Rootr.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your workspace billing settings; access continues until the end of the then-current billing period unless stated otherwise. Our refund terms, including how billing disputes and chargebacks are handled through Paddle, are set out in our Refund Policy.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the content you upload or create in Rootr ("Customer Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, process, and display Customer Content solely to provide and improve the Service on your behalf. We retain all rights to the Rootr software, brand, and any aggregated or de-identified data derived from use of the Service that does not identify you or your Customer Content.
7. AI-Assisted Features
Rootr uses large-language-model providers to power features such as the knowledge graph assistant and root-cause analysis. Outputs from these features are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete; you should review AI-generated content before relying on it for decisions.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inspirio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate these Terms at any time; you may do so by cancelling your subscription and closing your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms and fail to cure the breach after notice, or immediately if required to prevent harm to the Service or other users.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Daejeon District Court, Gongju Branch, Republic of Korea.
